If you want it for towing etc, can't beat AAA.. but BMWCCA is nice to have for the mag and dealer/other discounts...

Sorry a LITTLE OT, but do you guys think (for the fellow M3 owners) that the M3 SIG is a worthwhile membership to have? I'm an s5x guy, so obviously the s14 content would not be for me, but would other topics make it worth it? Basically nothing on the drivetrain/suspension is stock on my car, so I'm just not sure whether discussions and tech pubs would be relevant.

Basically Membership is required to enter their HPDE and driving schools. You don't have to own a BMW. In the midwest the chapters usually have a driving school event every other month minimum and so offer the most frequent opportunities for track time.

Their majority exclusion of open top cars sticks in my craw.

My wife and I are members are enjoy the diversity of events the CCA's sponsors. If you are strictly a gearhead or boyracer, it might not be for you, but I like that I can bring my wife to an event that mixes cars with a little wine tasting. She's into wine, I'm into cars = perfect day.

Also our chapter actively solicits ideas from members. When a group of Z enthusiasts wanted to put on a Z-Rally in historic Riverside, the CCA stepped in with lots of support and provided the all-important group insurance to pull it off.
