bought a steering wheel, England, heres the story w/ PIC!!!

I bought a steering wheel on ebay from a guy in england. Its an older style one OEM BMW from a early 90's 5 series. So i figure that shipping will be about 30-40 dollars. not so. I hope maybe someone knows someone in england that could post this item to me at a more reasonable rate. the guy wants to charge me 40.00 pounds (british currency) for a steering wheel to Chicago IL that probably weighs in at max 5 pounds. Effin ridiculous, maybe someone knows someone out there that might be a bit more reasonable in doing a third party receive and ship on this item. Let me know if you can help. p.s. i won the steering wheel for 20 dollars so i bet the asshole is expecting to get his handling fees way up to cover for his lack of wins on the wheel.

    thanks.

Did he post the cost of shipping in the auction before it ended? If not, then that really sucks for you and you should find out why it is so high and try to talk it down. If he did post the shipping price, just quit your bitchin because you agreed to purchase that item at that price with that much shipping. it was your fault if you didn't notice the high shipping rate.

He can ship it to me in Italy, and I can ship it to you via USPS.

              Are you in the Navy?

If you are, you would be stationed out in north chicago, about 45 min out of the city. Im on the north side of the city around by evanston. I think im just going to bite the bullet on this one and pay for the damn shipping since its easier on everyone and even though it sucks, ill get it in 8 days or so. what a waste though all that money.

Yeah its alright, at first though he wanted 65 pounds, and i got him down to 40 so i paid for it today.

Yep it'll work out. The steering wheel is simple and nothing to look at since its a lame old e34 non-airbag wheel.

                    hah oh well.

Guess you should have requested a shipping quote prior to bidding.

I've seen that wheel before, over here. I think they are common in e34 525 m20's.
