    Schroth rallye harnesses

I guess I could call the company up but I thought that I would ask you guys first. Anyone know why 84-85 E30's use the 3 point harnesses and the 86-91 use the four point harnesses? It would be nice to have the four point harness if I could convert from one to the other but I am debating selling my leather sport seats for some corbeau seats.

I would assume it has to do with the way the stock seatbelts are in the early cars.

The 4 point uses the bottom bolts for the side seat belts and the middle seat belt.

The 3 point is designed to attach back at the C pillar point for the rear seatbelts (I'm assuming this is what is different, early cars have a usable C pillar mount)

        cramer got it right.

in reality the 4 pt works in all E30's. the seat backs have been tested for seat back strength.

the cool thing about the C pillar mount (rallye 3) is that you can use the autocontrol harnesses on them.
