For my ME110 class (CAD/ProE) the prof took us to his job. Works at a place called Gleason, who I had never heard of before. But basically the make machines that produce gears of any sort. Mainly automotive, mainly differentials. Machines are used by basically all automotive manufacturers, BMW included. They have two plants over in Germany. It was pretty neat to see being a car person. I was the only one there out of 20 that knew what a diff was and its purpose.
