People really have to stop the hate on Ken Block's results on the WRC. The dude is beyond humble when it comes to it and easily admits that this is a huge challenge for him. The man is living the dream of competing with the world's top rally drivers. I'm pretty sure if any of us had the opportunity, we'd do it. And that's regardless the amount of flak you'd get by not measuring up to the standards.

He never planned to be competitive towards them, he's barely driving half the season. But imagine the experience and how much you can learn by finally leaving the USA to drive.

I'm mad envious, and give MAD props for him being able to participate in something like that. Unlike the Nick Hogan's of the world, who do nothing but waste such great opportunities, he's actually very humble from all the WRC interviews I've seen.

    Just sayin'

People are crazy about his Gymkhana videos, but to me it seems like this is the only thing he can do good. Seriously, how many of you remember when he announced that he will be competing in the WRC....everybody was crazy and could not wait to see him. What happened then?! Right now he is 25th out of 25 people in the WRC Standings and does not even have a single point. I don't think that there is anyone competing in the WRC that can't do that Gymkhana stuff, but what is the point when you can't be fast on the stages? After all he is a rally driver right?!

edit: LOL Dirty30 we're talking about the same thing at the same time :D

Great Car. Great editing. Mediocre driving/hooning... Compared to Real rally drivers at least.

But instead of catering to the brotatoes he should work actually finishing a stage.

Could I start a thread in the Politics and Religion section about the wheel on the Segway that says Obama can't Gymkhana?

I though it was great. The new fiesta is so cool, the sound, the looks, everything about it. It was definitely impressive but lacked the explosions and bright colors like paint in baloons of the first two.

He killed it, its easy to say that anyone can learn to do that with practice but realistically how many people atually do it? Thats why its impressive.

Real classy name change there Pete. I was just giving you a hard time, but if you want to be a dick about it I guess that's just who you'll be.

Back on topic, I was rather unimpressed as well. A few of the pieces were nice, but after you've done a precise donut around one thing I'm going to assume you can do donuts around another object.

Josh, I won't go into an argument battle over this, but from what I see, only about 10% of that video shows any sense of true driving skill. Everything else is clearly not something that anyone can just pull off.

However I'm willing to bet that any decent enthusiast with the slightest experience, a proper car and enough practice can accomplish almost all that was done on that video.

I expected better use of the bank, although the donuts there were pretty impressive. A segway that changed directions was cool, but with choreographing it's clearly not that much greater of a challenge.

Show me more fully sideways videos at 100mph. And not those hairpin turns where you go from 100mph to 10mph. I want entry at 100mph and exit at anything above 70mph. Oh wait.... that's why we have the WRC isn't it? :p

Oh and PS: Still a very cool video. I love the editing and all that jazz and it's entertaining at least, instead of the crap I post on my YouTube which is mostly raw footage from me driving :p
