Generally I drive a car well over 300,000 miles, and that is after I get them at 150,000, meaning by the time they have about half a million miles on them they need to go to the crusher.
Anyone else finds it hard to stay committed?

I've never sold a car. I get really attached to quirky European cars. I won't get rid of my Contour until it is blown up, beat to hell, and wrapped around a telephone pole. Once the E30 is done I'm sure that won't leave my possession until equally beat. It doesn't help that both cars are worth more to me than anyone else..

My first car was a '92 Honda Accord, and after it bit the dust I was looking for a BMW because BMW's are my favorite cars. My dad steered me away from them saying they'd be too expensive to fix, so I got an '06 Honda Civic. Had it for about 4 or 5 months, sold it, then got an '04 Nissan Xterra that I had for 1 year. Sold that a couple weeks ago and now have the '90 325i.
The BMW is of course my favorite car out of all of them. My dad got an e30 also even after telling me in the beginning that BMW's are too expensive to fix. He says he really likes working on it and how they are built.
"The Camry is an appliance, not a car. It attracts folks who have the same regard for driving that they have for washing dishes,
i.e. it's a necessary but somewhat unpleasant chore and they want something to make the task a little easier and insulate them from the process." - my friend, Número VeintiséisComment
