Top Gear UK in NC Blue Ridge Parkway.

anyone know if this is actually true? saw it on jalopnik...

Top Gear UK's invading the US again. Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond were spotted filming along North Carolina's Blue Ridge Parkway with the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Ferrari 458 Italia, and Porsche 911 GT3. (H/t to the_stig's_american_cousin!) [MotownMuscle]

if anyone knows where they are staying or has spotted them please let me know. This would be an awesome birthday gift for the old man. Thanks!!

p.s. I'm in Upstate SC so I'd try to drive up there and get a pic signed for my dad or something like that.

the parkway is over rated. not that fun of a sprited drive, mostly because people do like 30mph. the best roads are in the surrounding area's. :)

James Clay said he was heading over to meet them at VIR on facebook, so that may be the track they use and Clay may be the Stig's Giant American cousin!

Damn.....the VA part of the parkway is pretty fun. I live right where it becomes the Skyline Drive and we used to go camping down there and rip down the roads in our e30s. Those were the days.

I always thought they need to do a rally every year down the parkway, the full length.

agreed, if you go to the parkway to drive fast you'll probably be disappointed, but it's a great cruiser for checking out the scenery. i do know of a few good drives nearby, though.

hmm they're supposedly filming at VIR tomorrow... anyone feel like making the drive up there?

from upstate SC we're about 3.5 hours away, and i guess it'd be a cool drive as well.
