    Want r3v's opinion!

Hey guys I know someone thats selling his brand new Magnaflow 14815 mufflers for 150 bucks. Do you guys think the price is reasonable? Also if I just put the magnaflows on my car, and don't touch anything else exhaust wise, do you think the sound will be much deeper? r3v's help/opinion would be greatly appreciated for my 325e.

thats a good price i think, check performance peddler thats where i got mine from.

I have the exact setup u mentioned in your post, just basically a muffler swap. This is what my car sounds like (this is MY car in the vid the day i had it put in)

P.S. i really like the sound, but i still can't wait to get 2.5in all the way back.

Do it, magnaflows sound pretty deep and are not too loud.

sounds sexy def doing it. How much did you pay the muffler shop to weld it on?

Yea that's a good deal if brand new and still wrapped.

The bass isn't going to be THAT deep in the video.
It's just his microphone, but it does sound very good and close to that. Since you have an ETA, expect some drone while cruising since you will be at lower RPMs. Sounds very nice up top, no rasp.

This is all assuming you have your header-back components stock.

Exhaust shops vary on pricing.. And you're in LA, so I wouldn't settle for anything higher than $45 since there are soo many mom 'n pop shops out there..

I had to pay about $100 because the guy had to fab up a Y pipe, but since you have an ETA it shouldn't be to much. As said above, probably about 50 bucks.

lol? Not at all. It depends on your whole setup though as well. For this muffler though, an eta it should be deeper than a b25.

I dont even need to hear it, Ive heard them. I think that regardless of price the Magnaflows sound great in our cars. How can you go wrong for that price?? AND they sound better than things that cost 10x as much!!! I have one on my ///M3 and it sounds the biz. I seriously dont understand why I paid 450 bucks (back in 2000) for the SUpersprint that was on my 325e. Didnt sound as nice, wasnt as ballsy, and I would have had many more options in terms of tips to choose from. I dont see a down side other than Im not sure they are as durable as the big ticket exhausts. But fuck it, for 150 bucks just get a new one!!

I bought one from amazon new for $119 to my door and another $60 to get it installed. Its a bit droning with the windows up but does sound killer when you give it the beans.

Now that I think about it I remeber the sound clip of the miller car and it had a good sound to it. Do they sell a muffler with tips that has a 3in. inlet?
