    Windy City BMWCCA VintageFest Pics

]Here's some pics from VintageFest, held Sept. 19th at ZF Industries in Vernon Hills. Luckily the rain stopped early and we had a good turnout. We had twenty E30's show up this year I believe, including two--count 'em two--Baur convertibles.

The Werk Shop in nearby Lake Bluff was kind enough to host an open house afterward. They do some of the best restoration work you'll ever see...

Yeah, not the greatest idea. The first m1 and 2002 turbo are soooo good looking!

I'll have to get my pics up soon... I'm the guy with the turbo 318is; I don't know if we met or not hah. Wish I could have gone to the shop tour, but I had to hit the road to get back to Purdue.

And yes, my wastegate is indeed mounted off of some brackets on the strut brace. Given the space limitations, I couldn't find any other place for it. There are flex pipes in all of the connections though and I tested it pretty extensively to make sure that there is never really much force on the brackets. If you have any suggestions of how to do it a different way, let me know haha.
