    Porsche Museum, Stuttgart...56k go away.

Went to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart today. I was supposed to meet up with KenC as he was flying into Stuttgart today but I got no phone call and I was 'scheduled' to be out of the house so I went anyway.

Took them with a 450D, with a combo of 17-40L and 50 1.8ll. My Speedlite took a shit half way through.
Used DPP to edit, and resized them 50/50 when I converted them to jpeg.

Onto the pics. Pulling into the garage I saw these 2...

And onto the Museum. It is very clean, very white and relatively quiet.

    And Porsche doing it right...

    with an I-6.

Read the caption...they had a lamp inside so you can see through the body.

    poke...

Interesting shifter in the Concept Boxster, 1993.

    Mmmm...cockpit adjustable downforce....

    The OG....The 959. 450,000DM, 450hp, AWD.

Porsche whoring a small percentage of its' trophies from its' 38,000+ Motorsport victories.

    And one bad-ass 944...

    With A/C

    mmmm....BBS

    Rally-dog.....

From near to far, IIRC 3.0L Turbo, 3.3L Turbo, the 3.6L Turbo, 997 bi-turbo and on the end, a GT3.

    Measure TWICE, cut ONCE.....

    924 GTS....911 brakes, 935 seats....

V16, dual dizzies, anyone write down the firing order....

And a quick Photostitch of the first floor.....

    Hope you enjoyed them....C+C welcomed....

The porsche RS spyder is definitely sick.

I didn't know porsche was involved with the KKK. odd.

Your pics are WAY better than mine. Sorry we didn't meet up... I think I probably got there after you left.

In the "Pre-Porsche" section, there was an open-wheel single seater that was contracted by some Italian guy. 1.5L 12cyl supercharged to 350hp with AWD... in 1941. I'm not sure if the tires could handle it, but they said it would do in excess of 300km/hr

You mean flat 16. :p Or are you going on the fact that the connecting rods sit side by side like a typical V variation?

amazing! thanks for sharing. i will own one some day, i'll probably start with a 944, but a 911 would be my dream weekend cruiser. i'd rock a 356 replica too, so i could mod it and not feel bad.

                            Awesome man.

Check out those rear wheels. The 917-30 had 19" rears. As in, 15 inches in diameter, 19 inches wide. (pictured is not the 917-30 but it's still impressive)
