As mentioned above, a 90-91 318i should be perfect for you. The M42 engine has more than enough power to get you into trouble. A 325i with its 6 cylinder engine will just run up your fuel costs. Oh, and for the love of all that is holy, buy a car with a manual transmission!

Thanks for all the help and imdashiz, I live in a small town called Clarendon Hills, It's a Western Suburb outside of Chicago. You probably have never heard of it, but it's near Oak Brook, Hinsdale, Westmont, and Downers Grove.

Also, I found a 325i, 1987 that's near me and looks pretty good, except (and I saw some of you say this before) it has that metal bumper and I do not like it at all. haha.

i know exactly where clarendon hills is at. btw, whats your budget? if you do end up with metal bumpers, you can always tuck them (push them in) which doesnt require much work. all you would need to do is drill through the bumper shocks and push them in. the outcome looks better than the "diving board" appearance.

To be honest, I'm not sure what my budget is, because my grand father has promised me a car ever since I was younger, but I'd like to say like 10k, MAYBE. I'm not sure or anything, but I'm hoping to ask just for a car and tool kit for xmas. (I know it sounds extremely selfish/greedy) I'm not even sure about it, right now.

Yeah, there wasn't much. Also I've decided I'm interested in a 4 door sedan 325i.
