My first trip to the Ring and an E30 meet!

Just came back from another trip to Germany. Unfortunately, weather sucked so no track time, but came out with a good story.

Got involved with a new Z4 on the highway in my buddy's s/c'd E46 M3. Side by side at 160mph, looked up and saw the Dutch border along with two cops ready to pounce.

Had forgotten my passport too. After 20 minutes of a stern scolding, they let me go.
"Dis isnt Germany. Please slow down and always have your passport with you"

What is the cost involved in renting a car at the Ring? I looked up one of the sites but is there hidden cost. For instance mandatory instruction and what not?
