    clavinZERO's "silver beast" UPDATE *pics*

Nutshell for those who don't know about this yet: Crashed at the Eugene meet at end of February. Jordan took me in for almost a week, took care of getting her fixed while I was back home. I flew back up (thanks to his parents) one month later and put her back together. Oh yeah, and Jordan threw ice at my head and dropped a 20-pound bag of cat food on me when I was laying down. Kthx.

Well, with a lot of help form Jordan, the car was assembled with the quickness. We double-teamed the installs on the engine crap and he came through with some nice ideas for the radiator and oil cooler mounting problems we ran into. I drove it home to Cali from Oregon with only the center grill and bumper core with lights. Ran like a champ. The Smoked Hellas and Turn Lenses are on the way soon. Got a new hood emblem, new grommets for the hood emblem and fender trim, new bolts for the hood hinge, a bunch of the green interior panel clips (needed some for a while now), and all new front grills. Valance was painted smooth... very nice.

    Still in the works:

-textured paint for bottom of fender
    -smoked hellas
    -smoked turns
    -painted front bumper cover
    -repaint front iS lip

    ok pics:

The body gaps all came out pretty nice.

Somebody already re-sprayed this bumper once and barely even masked it and sure as hell didn't even think about prepping the surface... some paint came off with the packing tape, lol. Gonna have to go to town on the prep work on this one.

no, but thanx for taking it off my car for me... the tow truck fux0red the underside of the car, which I found out right as I was about to drive back home. They bent the shit outta the gas tank shields. Can't imagine what could have happened to that lip if it hadn't been removed, heh.

Thx for the kind words guys.

what did everyone take their cars apart over the winter?
I did I stripped a lot of stuff off my motor and I took out a lot of interior stuff. I am having fun replacing hoses and stuff right now and it will come together in a couple of weeks I broke a couple of things in the process and lost some other pieces(cant figure out where they went?) but i going to leave that up to the dealership to fix it. My car has had a few months of down time now, and it is time to get her fired back up. And while the dealership has her I get a courtesy car

Yikes, I used to look at just pictures too but I wouldnt respond without reading the actual post, too.

This is the old thread with all of the information and "Before" pictures

Like I said when you stopped by, it looks good under all that dust :P and good luck with the rest of what you're up to on it. You're welcome any time, maybe we can think of something to do besides gawk at the cars next time if you're not busy doing HW and stuff. Who knows. I'll catch you later.
