Weight of SRD's

I've searched the internet and this site and still nothing on how much the Recaro SRDs weigh. If you're lazy and don't know exact answers, you can just tell me if they weight more/less than stock sport seats in cloth.

Ted (uofom3) has them in his car... I'm not exactly sure of the weight, but they're pretty light. I'd guess that they're less... probably because they don't have all of the adjustability mechanisms.

from what i recall, factory sport seats are like ~42lbs

my recaro ls/rs(structurally similar to SR/SRD) weigh (and yes i just went outside and did it for you) ~34, including rails and angle iron adapters.

without the adapters they probly just skim in under 30lbs

so i guess your saving around 20lb per pair. not heaps, but the difference in seating quality is worth it alone.

Well, I might be keeping my SRD then. I was planning on putting in the sport seat again and getting everything reupholstered so it would all match and look good, but...saving weight is nice.
