OP, I think this could be your problem as well because like me you said you have no wetness anywhere but in the jack well. The sunroof drains to this area if water gets past the sunroof seals with no visible signs of leakage anywhere else.
If it was the trunk seals or taillights you would see water or at least water marks in other parts of the trunk which would make it more obvious where the water was coming from.

I'm still getting water in my jack area - I have changed the trunk seal, tail light gaskets, adjusted the trunk catch so the trunk sits tighter against the seal, checked the sunroof drain/vent thing. It's so damn hard to figure this out haha. BTW I'm pretty sure that my car had some rear end damage earlier in its life as the driver-side rear quarter panel is red on the inside if you look closely.
I'm going to do the "abducted hooker" test later today after work...
