    E34 with M20B27?

I asked this question in my E34 topic (http://r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=182936), but not many people seemed to visit it, and I'd like to figure this out. So here is the question:

Yesterday I headed off to Pick-N-Pull. There were 2 e30s with M10s and 3 with M20s. Unfortunately all three were etas. But then I found 1990 525i, score!! Started taking it apart, I worked on it for about an hour. Then I took off the valve cover to unbolt the head from the block, when I saw that it had normal head bolts instead of Torx. Weird, I thought, then I proceeded to take the bolts out when something interesting caught my attention. It had a 4 journal bearing cam!! WTF?
Did e34s come with M20B27s as well?
Or what's going on here? I'm confused, HELP ME!!!

They certainly never came with the b27 over here. Perhaps overseas but not in the US. Are you sure it's an eta though? Is it running M1.1? Does it have the eta intake? Cold start injector? Other eta parts?

That's what I wasn't sure of. I'm not really familiar with B25s, the only thing I know is that they have cams with 7 bearings. Now that I think of it, the engine had the Crank Position Sensor and Reference Sensor connectors on the side of the engine just like on my 1986es. That's an eta trait right?
And not only they didn't come with B27s in the US, BMW didn't offer the E34 with eta engines anywhere in the world from what I found.
This seems like a very bad engine swap idea to me though...

The intake, valve cover, cam, valve springs all should tell you.
