LOL crazy smokescreen at WOT

My newly decked and rebuilt 327i with only ETA exhaust manifolds, nothing else. Guessing I may have overr3ved it. Still running a 2.93 diff, drop it into 2nd going about 60-65. Haven't acquired a new tach yet (JEAN) so I'm not sure where my redline is. Enjoy

Haha...it's hasn't done this before. When I dropped it into 2nd I maintained speed, and you can see in my buddy's side view mirror, as soon as I stomped on the gas the smoke goes pouring out. Wish I knew what my rpm was at this time.

I have no exhaust and hence no O2 sensor or cat. My guess is that the injectors went crazy and dumped a ton of fuel in. When I shift to third the car backfires and you see the fire shooting out the bottom, which I think would also be indicative of too much fuel

Car runs great and runs cool though. Only smoked like that the one time.

Where is that smoke coming from?

my guess is that you have a cracked block/head and it was spewing coolant/oil out and your exhaust caught it on fire.

or you have a large leak at your oil filter housing

when i was running 9.xx air fuel ratio i didn't pour smoke much at all.. something is fucked up, it isn't just from dumping fuel.

ive had this happen to my car once when i started in 1st at WOT. i still cannot figure out what caused it, but then again my car has been fucked up since i first got it.

Hmm, well think I might have solved it. I accidentally put in wayyy too much oil. Although if it was burning oil wouldn't the smoke be blue?
