Urgent electrical problem - Sunroof + windows stuck open!

So, for the past few months, occasionally I lose power to my sunroof, blower motor, and windows completely. Smacking the fuse box seemed to help get it working again.

They went out again, and nothing was helping, so I tried to go to an auto parts place to get another relay to replace the K7 relay. I thought that was the issue. Replacing it solved nothing.

S52 swapped, but I still have the stock e30 fusebox

Sometimes I also lose my blinkers and brake lights, and this is also fixed by whacking the fuse box.

Any ideas? My car is sitting in my apartments parking lot with the windows open and no way to close them!

e: The connections at the starter are tight.

Quick fix is to put ground on the green/black wire off of your starter

What would be the best way to do that? I suck at wiring.

Find the one tiny little wire at/near the starter. Green with a black stripe, in a black sheath.

Strip back an inch, wrap it around a bolt somewhere, then go try your windows.

So, I tried unbolting that wire and the post its attached to is broken now, and is spinning freely.

Got it off and grounded it, success!

Hopefully the starter is fine, I'll find out tomorrow.

Aloha, I would be interested in what you find out to be the cause of power loss to these functions, please post your findings for the rest of us.

              Thank you,

sometime it can be as easy as changing a wrong fuse number. i just change fuse 21 which was a #10 to #7.5 and now my speedometer, radio work like a charm. try looking through your fuse box and fix any unmatched number.
