thought that I'd introduce my self

First i want to say thank you to evyone for the help getting my car back up and running. She is a 1991 Alpine White 2, 325IX with only 98000 miles, but sadly is an auto hope to fix that some day. She has a near perfect red interior not a single rip, tear or stain anywhere.

I just did the water pump, timing belt replacement. While at it I changed the head gasket because she was leaking a bit of oil also replaced the radiator because it was tore up.

She is runnign great just one last issue to figure out. Maybe you guys can help. The temp gauge reads normal while ideling but once I start moving it jumps up in temp real fast. For example from middle to the third line just like that. But once I stop it goes right back to the middle line. any ideas as to the issue?

Thanks again and I look forward to becoming part of this great community.

I had this same problem once, turned out the brand-new thermostat was bad straight out of the box.

If you're 100% sure the cooling system has been bled properly and thoroughly, do it again.

Then if you still have the problem I'd swap out a new thermostat.
