    Shipping Seats

    Ok so I sold a set of cabrio seats for $20 lol... the guy is paying $150 for shipping... how do i do this?

    Freight Companies etc... any tips???

    Im in New Jersey

    '92 Golf VR6
    '91 325i
    '95 cabrio
    '94 jetta vr6

    UPS/FedEX will take them.

    You just need to make a sturdy box for them, no bigger then it has to be.

    They are only 42lbs each, not that bad. Figure 50lbs each with box.

    Making your own box isn't ideal, I mean it has to be stout. Maybe UHaul or someplace would have a box of the right size?

      I sold some vader and cut down a wardrobe box from a moveing company. Worked just fine and both seats from UPS cost me $80 or something.

          when i sold my sparco, i went to a local raceshop and got some empty srd boxes. worked perfectly.

            yeah what i was thinking before posting is, getting a perfect box.. and ups/fedex em with a piece of wood at the bottom of the seat so it can sit on something... and fedex at 50lbs aint bad at all.. weight is great with them guys but i'll be fine with dimensions right... im thinking i would be..
