Help, I need a new tranny - 5 speed in Vegas area

Hi all,

This is my first post on r3v, but I've been monitoring the forum for a while now. My tranny is shot, I need to find a replacement fast. I'm located in Vegas, so if I can find one somewhat local, or someone in SoCal that has one close by that would be good. It's for my 87 325i cabrio and needs to be a five speed.

I probably have a spare too, but I'm on the East Coast (EST, Real Mans World)... shipping would be prohibitive unless youre in a real bind. Then I'd suggest going with Blunt. He's crazy, but he's honest.

Call all foreign auto in Henderson, they have 3 bimmers in there right now I've been nabbing parts off of. Ask for Al. Why havent I seen you around? Were working on an e30 local here in Vegas, you should meet with us :)

When did they get 3 bimmers in there? E30's? I got the front bumper off of the delphin 325i from there. And I was just over there a couple weeks ago. Anything good?

Probably no help, But I have a getrag 260 that will be available early summer in oregon. Probably cost about $80 to ship. Last time I shipped a toyota trasnny it was only $40.

PM if you want it, it shifts nice, quiet, mileage unknown (not original in car)

Well do you know if one of them still has front plastic bumper attached? I actually need the mounting hardware from it. I found out today from the dealer that the mounting set is on "National Backorder". They said it could take up to a year before I get my parts.

This is what happens when your airhead roommate think a bag of bolts sitting next to a bumper and valance is trash. I should make her pay for it, but you know how blondes are.... :roll:
