this is not for an e30, but i would love to get some timing chain help

    got it figured out guys

    i guess this engine (2.7 chrysler) has its #1 piston 60' after TDC when all the notches line up....it was definitely a learning experience.

    and i am sorry i spelt straight, strait but again thanks for all the help guys

    if its anything like the N14 (mini cooper S motor) it all happens with the piston half way up in the cylinder. you need to use the pins to lock the different components in place

    Why not line everything up at TDC? Why put it at 60* off? Why didnt you mark both cams with a marker? Why not mark the old chain and sprockets on the same positions, then transfer those marks to the new chain so it doesnt matter where the engine is? Why do you spell "straight", "strait"? WHY
