Those of us around in those days HATED the "houndstooth" so popular here and now. Looked and felt cheap...but what the fuck did we know? We all wore stone washed Denim and polo shirts with faded glasses and used more hairspray than you would ever believe.

I totally remember that article, I was a subscriber then. I worked on and drove LOTS of BMWs right when that article came out ( E30M3 was easily the fav car to drive, E34M5 right behind it) and they actually nailed it in that article.

We laughed at the M42 car though, it was so reminiscent of the M10 turd.
