        well... when i picked my car up... the odemeter stopped working around 257xxx... so only god knows how long it was broke, and how many miles on my car.

            I have 230k on the odometer but i only have about 30k on the engine. :D
            '87 325 w/ S52 OBD1 engine swap, 98 M3 tranny, 3.25 LSD, 3.5" HFM, Intake, 24lb injectors, Chip, TMS UDP, Fan Delete, 98 M3 headers w/ custom 2.5" dual exhaust

                my friend who works at the BMW dealership around here told me about a 325 he worked on with around 700k. said he pulled the head off and it had all the original seals and everything and it was the original engine.

                        I only have a mere 67,000 miles on my whip. Runs smooth except for that damned ticking. :evil:

                        My dads E34 535i has got 234,000 miles on original motor, rebuilt trans. Runs like a dream (minus the needstobereplaced shocks)!

                          I read in rondell years ago about mobile 1 doing a test with a 325i and their synthetic oil. They drove it for a few years and had something like 1200 miles on the odometer. That was because they had rolled it over. Over a million miles on an m20b25 using synthetic oil. Dont know how much of it was original, but im pretty sure it was. (they probably never ran it very hard).

                          But i have proof at 380k, getting ready to take the top end apart again, ill get some shots of my cylinder walls.

                          ps- my cam did have enough wear to warrent replacing at 340k
