I'm raising the BS flag on that one. I won't believe that with pics of proof.Originally posted by niq_nakmy friend who works at the BMW dealership around here told me about a 325 he worked on with around 700k. said he pulled the head off and it had all the original seals and everything and it was the original engine.

I only have a mere 67,000 miles on my whip. Runs smooth except for that damned ticking.
My dads E34 535i has got 234,000 miles on original motor, rebuilt trans. Runs like a dream (minus the needstobereplaced shocks)!Claus Luthe is my hero.

I read in rondell years ago about mobile 1 doing a test with a 325i and their synthetic oil. They drove it for a few years and had something like 1200 miles on the odometer. That was because they had rolled it over. Over a million miles on an m20b25 using synthetic oil. Dont know how much of it was original, but im pretty sure it was. (they probably never ran it very hard).Originally posted by niq_nakmy friend who works at the BMW dealership around here told me about a 325 he worked on with around 700k. said he pulled the head off and it had all the original seals and everything and it was the original engine.

ps- my cam did have enough wear to warrent replacing at 340kOld and improved:
