Road trippin' to CO tomorrow, wish me luck!

I packed the e30 to the gills with all my winter gear today, plus room for me & the dog. Waking up at 4.30 to be on the road at 5. Making a 2 day trip out of it, should be about 12 hours per day in the car. This will be the real test of my e30's reliability, it has been my daily all summer with 1 failure, the heater core. Got AAA recently, changed oil yesterday, tons of maintenance over the past 2 years including timing & accessory belts, fuel and main relays, air & fuel filters, valve adjustment, plugs, cap and rotor, cleaned icv, throttle body boot, rear shock mounts and the list goes on, and on, and on... Trip will be about 1800 highway miles total; could be fun, could be a disaster. My ex told me she never though the car would leave the town where I bought it in CO 2 years ago. I'll update with either a positive or negative outcome, wish me luck. Fuck me it's 11pm, I gotta go to sleep.

CO guy here. What's the occasion for the trip? How long are you staying?

There's a really active E30/BMW/Cars scene around Boulder, another down south around Co Springs.

On the road as we speak, my dad is driving & it's making me fucking nervous, I never let anyone drive my cars. So I'm on r3v to distract myself, Droid ftw! @ bimmerman, I lived in winter park for the last 6 years, moved to Asheville for the summer, and I'm headed back to WP for ski season. I'll be managing a ski shop there. I used to hang in the mtn form when I was out west, I guess i'll be back there now. Any r3v members that wanna come shred have a couch to crash on for sure, and I can hook up free rentals and sometimes free lift tix. Thanks for the support guys, the e30 is gonna get some serious lovin if it gets me there without drama!

I'm getting the Copper / WP pass like I have the past 5 years. If you have a couch though, that'd be fucking SWEET! It's always cool to meet other E30 people, and yeah we have a pretty active community... (I'll crash on your couch as long as I'll be waking up in the morning... I don't wanna get butchered in WP)

Sure thing bishop, I'm 5 minutes from the resort up on Vasquez, walking distance to all the bars in town & on the bus route. My roomie works patrol so I've got a bit of diplomatic immunity @ the resort, it's money. PM me whenever you're thinking of coming.

Side note, I fucking love my e30, we're coming up on 13 hours on the road without a hitch
:knockonwood, tomorrow I'm gonna make Kansas my bitch.

Sounds good man. I don't get up as much as I'd like, but I do try to get up there at least 2 or 3 times a week. Sometimes that's hard.

ive taken my car twice to colorado and it was a blast both times. Hwy 24 coming out of breck was the best time I've ever had driving my car, and I was going the speed limit. Have fun!
