I had the oppertunity to go for a ride in the E28 brick but didn't want to worry about spins from weather related road yesterday.

not Nico, but a year ago I was looking into buying that kit from GPowertech or from PLR Tuning......there are many outfits that sell a Rotrex (centrifugal S/C) Kit for the E30. I spoke with the folks from both of those companies and they assured me of the power gains, I still opted for the 3.0L stroker since I'd get a rebuilt M20B25 engine. I'm still thinking of getting one to throw onto the 3.0L engine though ;) we'll see what the future holds, but for now my wife has put an end to my modding :(
