vert trunk shocks on coupe trunk?

So Ive been wondering. My Coupe's trunk "springs" arent really working. They never open up the trunk, and dont push it into full position. My vert on the other hand when you push the trunk button in, the trunk shoots up and stays there.

Is there any way to put vert trunk shocks in a coupe? Has anybody done this before?

Dude, you have both...WTF? Grab a damn tape measure, buy some parts, do some welding and take pics of the whole process, then post it up.

fwiw the sedan trunk springs have 2 positions. You might just be able to move the torsion springs to the stiffer setting to get what you want.

I tried this and it didnt work. I like the idea of some spring in my trunk.

OK, well if you were to want to do this, you would have to tack weld the little rod things that the shocks connect to to the body. two on the bottom, one near each RSM kinda. Then one to each of the hinges. SO you'd have four in total. Id do it, but I lack a welder:(
