    Quater Window Trim, refitting?

    Good day guys,

I posted this in the bodywork section but thought I would get a greater response here.

How the heck do I get the Quarter window trim back in place? I've tried for 3 days now and I'm completely confused as to how to get it back into the rubber gasket?

Oh, this is on non pop out windows.

put the glass in the seal, and then put (pull) the seal with the glass in the car. look up the "string" tip on wrapping a string around the window seal, then you pull the string while pushing the window with the seal in the frame...

Do I need to remove the quarter panel window to reinstall the window trim? That's a PITA.

When I replaced the trim on my car with 318is black trim, I could not get the trim in the rear seal w/o removing it and the glass from the car. Then installed the trim and re-installed the glass/seal/trim back into the car...

I guess there is one benefit to having pop-out glass, new seals are a fraction of the cost of non pop out seals and easier to swap....
