Really, if you don't check the car over for yourself you have no one to blame but YOURSELF. I always assume a seller isn't telling me everything, even when they really are. The only person going to cover your ass is you, especially when buying cars for under 1k. It's up to you to look over the car, or pay a mechanic like $60 and have them look over it. :hitler:Whats with you guys wanting to return cars after you bought them. This isn't the return line at wal mart. You bought it, now eat it. Sold as is, means AS IS! Not trying to sound mean. But dont take someones word, look the car over, take it for a drive and use your head before you make the jump.
Sold my civic a few months back to this kid for $900, calls me up a week later talking about he wants his money back. Told him to F himself, the distributor took a crap on him. Car has been gone a week and i never had any issues with it, he bought a 91 civic with 224k miles on it for $900 did you not expect anything to break? I mean really? Long story short i helped him source a used distributor on the cheap, not because i had to but because he was stuck in a parking lot at 8pm at night and i'm not a dick. But never would he have gotten a penny from me.Leave a comment:

OK, deal. I will chill if you PROMISE to make sure you are getting what you want in the future, OK? The whole thing you just went through is (obviously) a MAJOR pet peeve of mine. I will chill (at you anyway) and you will look before you leap.
Cool?

Lesson learned,For those asking my age im 24, and the car is still in front of the kids house. The situation right now is .... im just gonna keep it not because (stereoinstaller) says I fucked up lol but because the car was gonna be a project anyway and sit at home for a while . Ill be picking it up today. Btw (stereoinstaller) I've seen some of your other threads and all u seem like a kool guy u should try taking a chill pill lol it wasant that big of a deal just to some people loosing on $500 is a big loss anyway thnx for ur input I took it into serious consideration.
Always inspect a vehicle throughly before buying it and signing the as-is no warranty expressed written or implied paper.Leave a comment:

Haha, you fucking idiot.
When are you going to realize that YOU made a CHOICE here, you jumped into a decision, the car failed...and now you want your money back?
Did you ever even think about consulting a professional? Most shops only charge $100 or so to inspect a used car...did you even ask if you could?
I bet you thought more like "ooooh, $500 on this car and I am good to go, bitches gonna love my hot little beemer!"
Yeah, I nailed it, you are a douche AND an idiot.
IF you decide to accept some personal responsibility maybe you can grow out of it...although I know lots of people my age who haven't. Maybe you can do better...but this isn't a good start.
Now, what are you gonna do about YOUR broken car?Leave a comment:

1. How old are you OP? Old enough to know to test DRIVE a car and check all of it's systems before handing over money?
2. 500.00. Five hundred dollars. Not 5k. If your so worried about 500.00 you really dont need a e30. Save up and get a Honda.
3. As IS, Means As IS. If you came to me bitching about this, I'd tell you to get off my property before I ventilated your ass.
4. Learn from this!!! (Something young people seem unable to comprehend these days). Get your iphone, cellphone, Wi, text overloaded ass educated about what your buying before you buy it. Stop blaming anyone else for your own fuck up and take responsibility. Hey... even your Dad might be proud!!Leave a comment:

:D Kids nowadays.
Didn't test drive the thing thoroughly, 20 year old car, and wants a full lemon law new car warranty.
When the Chinese take over the country what'cha gonna do then?
Can't take responsibility for their own f*ck ups..

Judging by the pic, you can part it out and make a minimum 300% return OR you can purchase and install an auto tranny. I sell mine for $100 so it can't be THAT much. What were you expecting for $500?
Stop whining and fix the problem! Taking him to court or fighting him for it (even though hes wrong in a way) will just cost you more money and energy that can be spent on replacing your auto transmission. Seriously, suck it up and fix the problem. How old are you?Leave a comment:

Are you under 18? The only reason I ask is because from all my watching of Judge Judy & People's court one thing I've learned is that minors can backout of a contract such as an "as-is" car sale and get their money back.Leave a comment:

Don't mind Luke, he's had a rough couple of weeks. Oh, and he's always that way. And I'd be saying the same thing to you if I was the seller. If you didn't take it for a drive before you bought it, that's your tough luck.Leave a comment:
