they shoulda just called it the 135tii just to get rid of confusion, because that is not an m1 and 1 series m coupe is a mouthfull

BMW officially refers to it as the "1 Series M Coupe." End of story.

It's badass. 3300lbs and 340hp... which is underrated as always by BMW (at least their new models). 0-60 in under 5sec... those turbo engines respond well to a reflash as well.

I saw the M1 Turbo concept at the museum in Munich... hideous.

Maybe (MX5)x3 to keep the weight in perspective.

BMW would then have to explain the tii title to average bmw fans and to the people who don't give a shit about bmw history

Might want to hold your comments until you have the chance to ride in an X5M. RIDICULOUSLY fast, not just for an SUV. 0-60 in 4.5, and will handle better than 90% of the cars on this board.

What are they up to now? Like 3,700 lb?

                          -----------------------------------

Anywho, i would totally drive that 1 M any day of the week. Its the closest thing to an e30 that bmw has engineered in a long long time.

With some tuning this car could put down some serious power

except they have been using the m badge for almost 30 years and its been almost 35 years since they used the tii badge, people know know that the m is a special badge.

This car isn't close to an E30; this car is actually fast. The closest thing to an E30 is probably the 120i.
