This thread brings back memories. Long live the R3v.
There is always going to be someone who hates you or what you built. You can pour your heart and soul into every detail of your car and have a thread full of people saying "needs more low in front" or "chrome kidney grilles or ban" etc.
Back in the day Jordan's car inspired me. Well, parts of it did. On the whole it was a clean car with some ugly MM 5 spoke wheels when I first saw it. Didn't like the E36 rear bumper but understood that was his project and the guy knew his stuff. That being said the last pictures I saw of the white coupe he built blew me away.
Andre's car was a mixed bag but I didn't like it.
Nando's videos were always a blast and loved to watch the Player's Run movie. Funny how his Dakar was "stolen" and insurance funded his new ride.
Randy's reminds me of what a Pep-Boys "Type-R" ricer would do to an E30. A little too Import Nights for my taste.
Seeing what other people have the guts to try helped develop what in my mind looks right or wrong for an E30. I've landed at this: keep it OG. Factory or special model body, 14"-16" wheels, and whatever ungodly motor you can stuff under the hood. But that is just one man's opinion.
At any rate let the haters hate, have fun with your own car.Comment

Its funny how I've grown to have that same mind set....Seeing what other people have the guts to try helped develop what in my mind looks right or wrong for an E30. I've landed at this: keep it OG. If only I had found r3v earlier. I could have been 75% less productive at work all the way back in 2003.Comment
