All you need is a water pump and a timing belt. Is it worth it? Yes.

~40,000miles. It needs to be changed for sure. I would assume it needs the valves adjusted also.

okay so i probably shouldnt even risk driving it back. cuz it would be like a 2 in half hour drive back to my house and is it pretty simple to adjust the valves?

now for the price sense it does need new water pump and fuel pump and valve adjustment the guy said the dash is cracked and the windshield is cracked as well im thinking maybe $500 would be fair?

For all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than to Google it for themselves.

It's still an eta, but just more similar to an "i" than other eta's.
It's only 7hp more than a standard eta, but it has slightly lower compression (8.5:1 vs. 9.0:1) and special pistons to be compatable with the head design (basically an "i" head, but with single valve springs and a different cam).
Super eta's have a ~5500rpm (not sure on exact speed) redline vs. the old eta's 4800. The super eta is also controlled by the more advanced version of Motronic that later "i"s use.

Wait, why does it have diving boards if it's an '88 or '89?
