u may be able to help me

So driving the e30 today and get on the highway at the end of the ramp I nail the gas and the car feels like it is going to spin out. The rear drops as expected but either it feels like the shock is dead or all the power went to the rear drivers side or pass side tire only. It was as if there was only power to one wheel or sliding on sand and there was none. So I am up to speed and every time I hit the gas the rear end feels like it wants to kick left. The car sits fine and the springs and shocks feel good when I push on the trunk . So is this a diff issue and what is the best way to know if the diff is fucked. BURNOUT????? Or is it the shock on that side.?

Jack up one rear corner of the car and try to spin the wheel in the air. You can use a torque wrench on the 30mm axle nut to measure the breakaway torque.

get the car up in the air and see what is going on. Dont drive it till you inspect it. Or just do a smoking burnout till something breaks and then fix it

I have good tires, I think it is the diff or the shock on that side.

alright how bout we get some more specifics here:

                  Fill in the Blanks

nail the gas = ___% throttle
                  road conditions were ____
I was traveling ___ mph, this is a _________ [reasonable or unreasonable] speed for given conditions
                  I have a(n) ______ differential

when youre driving around does the car seem to bounce more than usual? when it bounces is it quickly dampened or does it continue to bounce for a bit?

were you breaking a wheel loose?

are you making any unorthodox amounts of power with this car?

what the fuck, just got the car off the ground to test the diff by trying to spin the rear axle nut and see if it would move and I have no axle nut. I could hav died thanks to good friends good booz and not checking there work while helping me. so I think the problem is solved. Thanks to all
