you can get more than $1500. That is a bit on the low side nowadays for a 318is, as they are relatively rare (compared to an M20 car) and moderately desirable. I'd say start at $2500.

personally i would start at 3k and go from there... some on here might say that is way off but whatever. if it sells for that you win, if it doesn't you haven't lost anything... you can always ask less if you don't get bites....

A nice clean 318is is easily worth 4k.

This is not that car. Id say 1500 - 2000 is right on target for the condition this car is in.

I think you'll get $1500 without a problem. You can ask more but I don't know, I see some really clean ones for $3500+/-. If it was $2000-2500 I think most people would either holdout and pay another grand for a clean car or save a grand and buy a car like you have or a little worse off. I know when I was looking for my 318is that's they way I looked at cars in the 2k range.

I was originally going to buy a nice clean low mile car that they wanted $3900 for (hoping to get it for $3400 or so) but it sold. I then stumbled into the car I ended up buying for $1000. Nowhere near as nice but it had a lot of upside and for $1000 worth a shot.

So I'd say if you are comfortable selling it for $1500 ask $2000obo and go from there.
