Usually when some one does that to a car, (like the CL ad) it has been in a wreck and bought by someone as a wrecked car. I worked on a lot of slope nose conversions (convertable non turbo 930....huh? ) and a few 993 conversions. Under the new body is usually cobbled up car. I doubt that the 75 they started with was a nice car to start with.seien Sie größer, als Sie erscheinen

I'm not sure what the years are, but I love the early 911s with the chrome trim. I was raised in a Porsche family and after driving countless 911s, 951s, 930s, etc. I would say that our '78 911 was the most fun.
My dad's current P car is also a blast to drive, a Strosek fender kit on a 928 with a fully built GT motor running megasquirt:
