Get the booster from the e23 as it fits one inch inside the cockpit.
Google is your friend. Tons of info out there.

^^^Correct. 25mm goes into the cockpit. More clearance in the engine bay. The hydraulic booster offers a lot of assist. Brakes will become sensitive. Better fit a large 25.4mm MC, don't even try with a smallish 21mm.Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

IMO, better with sensitive than way to hard. Makes you think you have crap brakes.
I'm also fitting the bigger E36M3 calipers.
I'm thinking of using Audi 80 25mm master, that will be better than 21mm?
Audi 80 one is much shorter, giving even more room for CF box.1987 BMW E30 M3 RB26

Yes, but with only two outputs. HybridNz have used it on his project, along with Golf MK1 booster. I have Golf MK1 booster and E30 master, which tells that the Audi one fits on E30 and opposite.1987 BMW E30 M3 RB26

Did you save a lot of space with the MK1 booster?
I'm working on an LS6 swap and I have the 750iL MC and e30 booster in there now, but I will have to come up with a space saving solution for the booster. So far it's looking like the Metro booster(shoot me in the face) or the E28 hydraulic setup...1988SuperETA|Full I component swap|19lb injectors|Schrick 272|MSIIExtraBeta20071020|GM DIS Wasted Spark|LC-1

Received the E28 booster setup before the weekend.
I bought it since it was complete with all the tubing, ball and split block, but the length of the booster part is much longer than the Golf MK1 booster.
I think I measured a length of 15cm from firewall to where master cyl is fitted. So, I will probably try to source a E23 booster to go with the Audi 80 master cylinder. Then I may be get the same total length that I have now with the Golf MK1 booster and E30 23mm master cylinder.1987 BMW E30 M3 RB26
