m10 318i fan blower question?

i'm looking at a 1985 318i on CL for 600. i just text him and he say the fan blower doesn't work. on my 91 318is the resistor burn out but the speed 4 still work. he told me non of the speed work. so is it the resistor or can it be something else? i plan on getting this since my 318is is still getting overhaul until summer.

could be the fan itself, but it should be the least of your worries when buying an 85 318i lol

Same as my 91 318, I'm thinking that it's just the fan switch on the AC control panel.
