The awesome rare car thread

I saw this on Speedhunters the other day and I did some research. Quite the car and quite the story. Apparently he made 5 or 6 of these but after failing to receive payment on 2 shipped to Japan, he went bankrupt.I had to resurrect this thread to share this gem I found earlier today. Called the Schuppan 962CR, it has a bespoke body and chassis influenced by the Porsche 962 Group C car and was built by famous Group C driver Vern Schuppan and uses the actual flat-6 used in the 962 race cars. The car cost almost $2 million new. Top speed? 230mph. In 1994.

Glad to see the contributions here! I love to see the porsches, the RS200, and the Audi sport. So so glad that I saw the Lancias and especially my favorite, the DeTomaso GT5.
Here is what I got for you - I am sure they are familiar to you all, just not mentioned.
DeTomaso Pantera 200

xj220 maybe?

GT40

This is rare, right?

Basically the Hummer Lambo made - the LM002... About 6mpg or something, HAHAHA!

Heard of this? Not my favorite, but kinda rare. Nissan Gloria
These I just like since I like the turbo hatches - Nissan Pulsar GTR

Awesome! I didn't expect to meet another vintage race mechanic on here. Dave's a great guy, and the McLaren came out looking beautiful. Good luck with it!
And to keep this post relevant, here are some more of my picks:
My Dad's old 1959 Elva Courier Mk1:

1958 Lotus 11 Le Mans Sports racer (driven by a 77-year-old, no less):

1964 Ginetta G4:

MK2 GLI Wolfsburg Edition
Mine, I very very rarely see any others, even at VW shows.

I need to put the BBS wheels back on it.

Also, the McLaren was bought from Dave Handy of Sasco, and it was White with a large orange stripe. We took the bodywork off and had it painted with the red white and blue.Leave a comment:

The Ferrari 333sp was at RA, and so was I. The first pic of it was taken at RA from the lift gate of our truck.Leave a comment:
