Damn....that is awful. I was never a Kubica fan but I am still sad to hear such news. Though maybe they will employ a driver like Heidfeld to replace him, or maybe Bruno Senna will have a chance to impress.

Kubica was in a bad rally crash today reports are he will miss the season and perhaps it might end his caraer. Multiple leg and arm fractures. Damn damn damn hope it is not as bad as first reports are saying.
It is as bad. Most of the injuries are on the left side of the body with a broken femur, crushed left hand and several internal injuries. Italian tv stated that he had to be cut out from the car after it hit a wall when he lost control. I would rather see Heidefeld or Grossjean replace him before Senna. Sad loss to the season and hope he recovers soon

And some more tidbits I just heard from Italian TV. Kubica is still in surgery and the main concern is his left hand and arm which allegedly appears to have been partially severd during the impact. According to the news, they have the best surgeons that deal with hand and arm injuries during the surgery which is supposed to end around 8:00PM Italy time. If I hear more I will definetly post it up.
Kubica was always my favorite when he ran for BMW and now with Renault. Really sad to see this happen.

In all likey hood Senna will be the replacement, at least for the first 3 races I suspect, and if he is not able to perform to standards they would then look elsewhere.
I am a huge Kubica fan, so this really sucks. I think he is a very talented driver who has been stuck in mediocre cars and was looking forward to see what he could do this season, and then possibly with ferrari, or RBR, if vettel goes to ferrari in 2012. As I doubt Massa will be at ferrari next year.
