    Flooding out

    Hey guys my car is a 88 325is today on my way to work the engine flooded out when I let off the gas going down a hill and it belw out the number 5 spark plug I found this out when I got to work about 20 mins later so I try to fix it but it's now the treads out so what or how can I fix this

    Watcha mean blew it out...the threads are gone? We gonna need more info, pics would help.

      Yea the threads r gone I will try to get a pic of it in the morning when it's daylight out

        pull the head off and have it helicoiled. about your only option. or get a different head. someone hacked that sparkplug in there at one time!!!

          Thank I got it fix now but I still figuring on why it's flooding thou, I have the idle control block cause the engine will rev up to 3,000 rpm for some reason so I block out that idle control to keep it at 800 rpm when at idle I have change it out with a couple that I had and they do all work I can hear it when I plug it up

            my dad's van and my friend's civic have both blown plugs. the ceramic center blew out of the threads. if this happens its and easy fix. if the threads blew out, you have to get the head off and have it helicoiled, or get a new head.
