    Haha well, in reality... minus reliability.. they are on par with an E30.

      They look good, especially the wagon. Still I doubt they are as reliable as an e30.
      I'd be scared to buy one.

        This thread is pretty entertaining for me, since I own both.

        My '91 coupe quattro is my project car and I love it to death. Never had a single issue with it until I started to tear it apart. It is now receiving a fully built 3B from an Audi 200 with a Garrett 3071 (and a lot of 034 goodies).

        DD'ing my e30 is great and I have no problem with owning, modifying and KEEPING both!

                I owned an old 5cyl Audi. All that engine hanging forward of the front axle makes for an understeer monster. I like how they sound though.

                  why are you comparing this to an e30?

                    Well its

                    - German
                    - Executive car
                    - Front - rear layout
                    - Independent suspension
                    - 4 Doors

                    Really it is more like a 5 series, but it fits more with the E30. And its underpowered

                      e30 = God's chariot

                      audi =/= God's chariot

                          Yeah, the younger ones these days (and i'm only 31) seem a little weird on stuff. They like station wagons and four doors. Cars that when we was in school would of got you laughed at for saying you even liked them. But i guess if everyone drove the same thing, it would be a boring world.

                            My brother had an 80, it was a great car. He drove the shit out of it for 5 yrs, never did shit to it and sold it for scrap. Oh and he paid $1500 ten years ago. He is not a car guy.

                                I've owned several Audis from this era and all of them were solid, reliable, excellent winter transport. The 90 20V is sort of like a 4WD, 4 door E30 M3 - it's light, it's small, and the engine revs to the stars before it makes any power. But it is brilliant on any twisty road.

                                I think, like anything else, it depends on previous maintenance history (or lack thereof) and what you're used to. The B3 / B4 90s are slightly more finicky when it comes to electrical switches than an E30, but the driveline is just about bulletproof. The NA 20V 5 pot is a great motor if you like redline shifting every gear, but for useable, BIG power on stock internals the turbo 20V 5 is amazing. Guaranteed to make the hair on the back of your neck stand up every time you hear the sound.
