Will an Autopower bolt in bar fit in a cabrio? I don't know if the recess for the folding top gets in the way or not? Thanks for any help

nope, not without some serious mods. I looked in to this for months. Best bet is to have a custom one made up. There was one on the here not too long ago, I think it was a white car with a removable bar and he kept all of his seats and panels.
If anyone remembers which car it was, I would love to see it again.harry/harout

Fuuu I just found out the hard way. Fits in my sedan parts car just fine though! And it looks sooo badass I am upset with myself that I didn't check into it further before ordering it. Oh well, I just have to build a hardtop car now too :)Comment

Sucks that you live so far a buddie of mine just started a roll cage/bar making business and is pretty resonable with prices. There is a guy in SoCal who runs one on his s50 swapped auto-x car and I believe it was a totally custom job. Since the rear seats are so much narrower in a 'vert I doubt any bolt-in bar will fit.
The removable bar sounds interesting though, anyone have pictures of that car?Comment

Found it, guess it was a bronzit, one of my favorite cabs on R3V.

Ugh, is there any four-seat convertible that doesn't look awkward as hell with a roll bar?
The E30 is not one of them.-Dave
