    German sources

I have a cousin in Germany who may be able to get us parts, ship it via boat for cheap shipping but...Where should I tell him to look, where in germany do you get m-technik parts and other german goodies? He said that E30s in germany arent very popular and thats all he knows.

I find that to be QUITE fucking funny. E30's are one of the most widely modded BMW's in Europe, let alone Germany. They have an enourmous cult following.

Tell your cousin to check out www.e30.de and then have him revise his statement.

Thats just a website, I showed him that site.

What he says can just be based off what he sees. Where are the sources for M-technik body parts and smileys and such at?

        Junkyards.

Ya I could understand what he said. Depending on where your located is what you see. If he’s in the richest part of town, I doubt he'll be seeing old E30's.....

That site has a couple forums too. Junkyards and aftermarket makers. They have a larger E30 aftermarket and they seem to buy EVERYTHING for their cars.

Ive talked to a couple guys on there and asked them to keep their eyes open for a few certian items that are even rare there. Some have seen the auto climate control in person but apparently its rare enough there that people clamor for it.
          Im now E30less.

E30s are a dying breed even over here in germany. thier tough TUV standards keep old cars off the roads, and now there are quite a few body styles since the E30. Usually all the old cars are sold to east block countries, or the american soldiers over here. thats why i have such a good conection to parts here, cause the junk yard is right behind my work building on the us post here. there is atleast 20 or so e30s at a time in the yard here. but its a fight to get the good parts cause alot of the soliers strip the parts and sell em on ebay, gotta be fast. hell, I cant remember the last time ive seen a E21 on the road over here, and E30s are going away quickly.

I saw very few e30s when I was in Germany. The ones I actually did see were in pristene condition, and most of them were at the BMW meet I went to.
