I'm sure it will primarily be new minis and a couple BMWs. Not the end of the world. Every car manufacturer does something to boost sales in one field or another. BMW wants to sell to the people who buy $35k toyotas, VW's, and random hatchbacks/small SUVs. Its not like they are going to scrap RWD all together.
Porsche made the cayenne to get into SUV sales.
Lamborghini now has AWD
rumors of Aston Martin 4 doors
And the list goes on... As long as we still have RWD M cars ill be happy.

This argument doesn't hold any water with me. They are already competing with these cars with the 1 series and the lower-end 3 series EVERYWHERE but North America. BMW-NA just won't import them here because of some they don't think they will sell here. So apparently, instead of using what they have available already, they are going re-invent the wheel.Comment
