Heater and AC panel reinstall

I popped out the heater and AC panel during my OBC light repair. Now I can't get the panel to fit back in and the four screws to get in. Everytime I try to push the panel back in, it seems to push back the actual control unit further back making it impossible to put the knobs and screws back in.

Any hints, tips or tricks on getting it all back together?

Did you attach the knobs and screw the sliders back on the front HVAC panel?

Are you talking about the bezel itself or the HVAC controls? If it is just the HVAC controls, just reach in through the radio hole and hold it.
