Why is it that 90% of the posters in this thread can't write at above a 4th grade level?
The Z2 makes sense from a placement standpoint. The E85 Z4 was a fair bit more expensive than the Z3, and the E89 Z is more expensive still. You really can't get your foot in the door for less than 50k on a new one, you're in the 60s once you get a turbo motor and a few options. A 1-series based car in the mid 30s makes sense as a Miata/TT roadster fighter. If you follow the rumors, Porsche/VW are also looking to put out a sub-boxster level roadster with the 2.0 turbo 4 that they stick in most of the VAG cars, so this would compete there.
