    worth fixing this steering wheel?

How much would it cost to redo the stitching on this wheel?

and is it worth it? how much do these sell used?

the top of the wheel began crumbling and when it's hot and muggy that shit comes off like tar on your hands. also, if you so much as tenderly rub the wheel with your leg when you're climbing in the car it leaves a black streak on your pants. any suggestions? fix or trash?

my old Mtech 1 wheel gets sticky when its hot and when its freezing its rubs off bad. might have to re-wrap to fix the problem.

if you just want to trash it- ill take it off your hands for shipping cost- mine has the same problem but this one would look better

I also noticed it's heavy when compared to the mint condition wheel i found on a stock e30 in the junkyard.

Being an Mtech2 wheel, it may be worth looking into a rewrap, they seem to go for around 150-250 depending on condition and size (large vs small)

The other problem is that black ring on the back that's fastened by two screws is missing the lock tab (looks like it broke off) and the holes for the two screws to go in also look like they broke off. I could just take this piece off of the junkyard wheel.

any places you'd recommend? I'm not caught up on my wheel rewrapping shops.

on a side note I still can't believe how heavy this wheel is compared to the stock wheel.

That mtech 2 wheel looks to be in pretty decent condition. The go for $200 - $300 USD on here depending on condition and diameter. Definitely worth recovering for a $100 bux if you like the style or want to sell it, New one's (re-wrapped) can go for $350+

here's the other wheel. It's really hard to tell but the condition of this wheel is much bettter. no crumbling or staining of the hands.

if anything I'll use this one while I send the mtech wheel to get rewrapped.
