    Strut Bar

I need some help from u guys, seeing as the strut bars here in SA, r pretty bad, and shipping from overseas costs a fortune. I need someone to measure for me a Sparco or some type of strut bar.

I need to know what angle, it goes up from the strut tower. Also on the section that is Horizontal, is someone could measure the ditance from a point directly under it (such as the engine or such right under the bar) .

I'm thining of making it with some rectangular bar, not sure what guage (prob 2mm) I'm doing this as a little project of my own, I've already figured out the rear strut bar, just need to fabricate it.

BTW, I do have some skills when it comes to metal work.

Also I couldn't find any pictures of diffeernt types of bars for a research point of view, so if anyone has any pictures, that would also help.

    Thanks
    Steve

Bite the bullet and order one from over here... then blueprint it, make a million of them and sell them on the local market.

Shouldn't be that hard to fabricate one though. Make 2 plates (one for each strut tower), bring two steel tubes (one fore each strut tower) coming up at a 90-degree angle from each tower. Get another straight piece of steel tubing and put it between the two and measure. You will probably want to mandrel bend the strut-to-strut tubing and then weld them to the bases that will sit on the strut towers.

Look on ebay under strutbracer, his prices are good and shipping is not that much. OMP ones are real close to the Sparco and better IMO.

      Thanks

If you planning on making one your self It's pretty easy built the strut towers frist then measure the inside put two bends and weld , any good welding shop can make it . good luck with what ever you're doing.
