    Oil Reset Problem

I followed the instructions to hook pin 7 to pin 19 then turn the ignition to the on position. I am using a paper clip. Is there anything that I am doing wrong?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Maybe your SI batteries are dead.

You have to leave it connected for 15 seconds to reset the oil service timer, to reset the inspection timer I think it's 30 seconds.

How can I tell whether or not the SI battery is dead or not?

Much much shorter. Not hard to google either.

If you are sure that you are jumping the right pins then you most likely need some SI batteries. They are basically two rechargeable AA's.

I heard its a pain to do it so I wanna be certain that they need to be changed before I open it up
