Snowshoe, West Virginia

Anyone here live near snowshoe west virginia that knows of any cheap hotels/motels?

We're got a hotel room for fri/sat but we don't have anywhere to stay thursday night.

Or if anyone is willing to give us a place to pitch a tent, we'd offer some beer or pay a tent fee, haha.

Super 8 in Elkins. I used to work for Enterprise all over WV and that's where I stayed when I was there for a longer period of time. It's usually $60/night and only 1/2 hour from snowshoe.

awesome, thanks man. we'll definitely give this place a look. My buddy was thinking the closest hotel was about an hour and a half away and I was having a hard time convincing him that there should be more hotels near a vacation spot.

there's this really nice place thats down the mountain, take a right on the main road, its on the left after like 10 minutes. Its a kinda rustic cabin-type place, and was cheap, good food, good people..

haha that's fine man. All I wanted to hear was that there are cheaper hotels at the bottom of the mountain. We'll definitely give these a try instead of trying to stay an hour and a half away just to wake up early to drive some more.

He's talking about the Morning Glory Inn in Linwood I think. Right off of 55. There should be other places as well. Elkins is actually about an hour north. If you're coming from the south, you may want to check around Marlinton or Hillsboro. Elkins would be way out of the way.
